I’m born and raised in a small town called Landskrona in Sweden. I’ve been traveling since I was a little girl, and after I graduated I decided to move to Los Angeles with my best friend to keep studying.
We lived there for 2.5 years and really enjoyed the city of angels while also getting my degree in journalism. But mostly going to concerts and enjoying life.
I still love to travel, whether it’s a weekend in London, a week in New York for a concert or just chilling on the beach in Thailand, I’m up for it all. So far I’ve been to 20+ countries, and it’s still counting.
I started Life by Fernie because, like a lot of other travel bloggers, I love to travel.
But I also wanna help other people enjoy the little details of travel, everything from the most instagrammable places to the hidden gems all around the world. There will, of course, be the instagrammable places and the touristy must-see places, but it’s not always the most visited places that are the best. And especially not the places that cost a fortune to visit.
When I travel I always try to find the hidden gems in each city, but I always get the same top 10 places on every blog. It’s mostly museums and old buildings. A lot of people are interested in that, but I’m not.
So I decided to start Life by Fernie because I can’t be the only one who feels like this. I want to help you find instagrammable and touristy places, but also these hidden gems all around the world.
You don’t have to be rich to travel well.
